After picking five emotions from the list we were given, I used a very willing person to act out these expressions so i could use them as reference photos to pose the character in Maya.
I found posing some of the emotions using the photos difficult, and had to adjust the character to the limitations of the program.
I'm pleased with some of the poses, but feel like some of them don't express the emotion very well. In the case of surprised and fear, I feel they both look like they could be either emotion, so would have to learn how I can achieve this.
I also tried adding lighting but again, need more practice as it wasn't going in the direction I wanted, and didn't look good rendered. And I also want to learn how to assign a material again, as i struggled to do this on my own and I think adding colour to the eyes would help with the expressions.
