Responsive

In this session we were given two briefs, to try and depict what is was asking to do.

The first brief we look at was for Airbnb, where I picked out words and phrases to get an idea of what they were asking the creator to do. I picked out the words; connect, personal, and modern travel. So I'd have to ask/ research what kind of age range the 'modern traveller' would be. And how would I produce something to tell a story and make the brand a more personal not corporate business for these travellers.

The second brief was fore WWF, where we were given the age range of 14-12 year olds, and making it inspiring to these people to change   things in the future. This had to be more serious and factual as they want to get the serious message of the decline in wildlife etc.

Both good examples, the task really helped me read in between the line, and look closer at a brief, as there may be some hidden requests in there.

Using these points below, will help me to analyse my chosen brief:

  • What problem(s) are identified by the brief
  • What is the brief asking you to do about it/them?
  • What is the brief trying to achieve?
  • Who will benefit?
  • What is the message?
  • Who is the audience?
  • How will the message be delivered?
  • Can you foresee any problems in responding to the brief?
