Responsive - Development cutting and quilling

After creating a new design, I then printed this out to ecperiment in bringing in a 3d element.

Fisrtly I cut out some sections of the design, but because the shapes were quite small, the lines between sometimes broke and it became very fragile.

I then quilled some shapes, I did like this, however it was too bulky and weighed the ticket down either side.

Richelle really liked the quiliing when I showed it to her. so I suggested craeting the shapes and photographing then and printing the whole thing digitally. 

I wanted to add more colour into the quilling so had the idea to have 2-3 shades of the colours and make swirls inside the shapes not just quill on big shape. this would also add to the multiple colours seen in futurism paintings.
