Animated Documentary - Newt Animation set up

To begin animating we were shown how to set up the lighting in the stop motion room and make sure everything was safe and set out properly.

We started by having 3 lights. A key light to represent the sun, and fill light, which we set up so it bounced off a white surface to reflect the light, as directly pointing the light at the character caused overlapping shadows which is not a natural thing to happen.  And we had a light at the back, which when we put in a background cause a gradient shadow, so I moved the light to behind the camera so it created a solid blue background.

We also had to tape the the model down to the green paper and the paper to the table, because when testing it moved about abit. but after taping it down it was more secusre, the problem then was that the table wobbled slightly, so we had to try not to lean on it, and also be careful not to knock the tripod. Bec it was difficult to get it back into place when I did accidentally knock it.
