Animated Documentery - Background experiment

I wanted to see if any of the existing images I had taken when out walking, would fit with the newt image on his rock.

I took the image into photoshop, got rid of the background and placed 2 images I thought would work behind them.

I did have to play around with colour levels to get the two images to match, and also added a blur to create depth of field.

I think maybe we'd have to go out and take more images, to fit with the characters to get an image that fits right for each scene, ones at the right camera level and environment. 

I don't think these images look too bad, but they're not at the correct angle and and proportion, even though I tried to scale them to look right.
