After we had had a little play with the plasticine, working purley from the designs, I researched into guides of plasticine characters, and thought these tutorials really help with what tools to use and how to create the sections of the body, and how to add that little bit of detail to make them unique.
I also looked at some of the people I follow on Instagram who are amazing with plasticine.
Stefano Colfrerai, creates these cute looking characters, they have an Aardman style to them, which is one of the reasons I like them. They're bright and colourful and are usually involve a funny senario. I thought this would be a good influnece for us with our characters.
Rich Webber works fore Aardman, but is always looking for new characters to create. most involve a monster/ alien creature of some kind or odd but cute looking birds. I also took inspiration from him to look for new ways to created a stylised character.
